2014 National Geographic Photo Contest
To improve your photo skills, a high-quality photo contest is always a good choice. In March, the 2014 National Geographic photo contest was launched. It is a very good opportunity to learn from professional photographers from all around the world. Just browsing the highlights and favorite photographs each week each category is a learning experience for me.
The reason I recommend National Geographic photo contest is because it is universal. Photojournalism, travel photography, street photography, even fine art photography…..you can see all kinds of photographs in this contest. You can see humanity, the love of nature, the sense of life and places in those photo entries.
One category called spontaneous moments is inspiring. It is not easy to capture those spontaneous moments, you have to be prepared to wait for a long time, and at the same time you need to believe that you are lucky enough to always capture the natural beauty of the world.
Below is one of my favorite photos called Larung Gar Buddhist Academy 2 taken by Jørgen Johanson.
